“Holy Land” Rameswaram is one of the most important holy shrines in India. Related to the history of the Ramayana period. The Kasi pilgrimage, considered to be one of the most important religious duties of the Hindus, begins in Kashi and ends after visiting Ramanathaswamy at Rameswaram. Rameswaram is the only one of the four major revisions in the Indian subcontinent, namely Rameswaram, Dwarka, Puri and Badrinath. Rameswaram is one of the twelve Jyotirlinga temples, only eleven in the north and Rameswaram in the south are located.

Ramanathaswamy Temple

It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is also one of the twelve Jyothirlingas temples in our ...country. The outer set of corridor of the Rameswaram Temple is considered as the world’s largest temple corridor with 1212 pillars in total and inside the Temple there are 22 kunds (wells) which are Sacred. Timings would be from 4:30 to 12:30 and 15:30 to 20:00 and Spatika Puja Timings Would be from 5:00 to 6:00 in the Morning and it is 2.3 Km away from Resort.

Agniteertham

In Ramayana, it is said that after Lord Rama successfully rescued Sita from Ravana, ...he ordered his wife Sita to give the proof of Shiva and bathing in the sea. The place where the god of fire freed himself from the sin is called Agnitheertham. One can witness pilgrims carrying out rituals and prayers early in the morning at Agniteertham.her purity. Since Sita was pure, so the lord of Fire “Agni” was was punished with a sin for touching Sita which he had to remove by praying to Lord.

Ramar Padham

Dhanushkodi

Sri Ramar Theertham Rameswaram

Laxmana Teertham

Sri Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple & Floating Stones

Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple is a five-faced Hanuman Temple,... is situated at a distance of 2 km from Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple. It is said that Lord had revealed his five faces here, hence the idol of Hanuman is depicted with five faces which are of Lord Hanuman in the middle along with faces of Lord Narasimha, Lord Adivaraha, Lord Garuda and Lord Hayagriva on the sides. Another major attraction of this temple are the ‘floating stones’ that have been kept at the temple for the devotees to see. These floating stones were used for building the floating bridge named Sethu Bandhanam, from Rameshwaram to Lanka

Villoondi Theertham Beach
