Arrival Mumbai / Departure from Cochin International Airport
Day 01: Arrival Mumbai
Arrival Mumbai international airport transfer to hotel & today no sightseeing to free from the Jetlag / stay at Mumbai.
Day 02: Mumbai Sightseeing
Full day city tour covering Gateway of India, CST station, Carwford MARKET, Marine Drive, Chowpatty Beach, Hanging Gardens, Mani Bhawan, pass by Haji Ali Temple, Dhobhi Ghat, Flora Fountain, University and High Court Buildings. Later visit Colaba Causeway and Fashion Street. Stay at Mumbai.
Day 03: Mumbai Sightseeing
Visit local Markets, shopping malls and visit to Elephanta Caves. Stay at Mumbai.
Day 04: Board flight from Mumbai to Chennai
On arrival check in at the hotel. Later visit to Kabaleshwarar temple, Government museum and St. George fort. Stay at Chennai.
Day 05: Chennai – Mahabalipuram
Proceed to Mahabalipuram (located on the beach area) On arrival at Mahabalipuram check in at the beach resort / stay at Mahabalipuram.
Day 06: Mahabalipuram
Sightseeing of Mahabalipuram including visit to the sea shore temple, five rathas and Arjuna Penance & afternoon relax at the hotel. Stay at Mahabalipuram.
Day 07: Mahabalipuram – Kanchipuram – Pondicherry
Drive to Pondicherry (French colony) enroute visit to the famous temples in Kanchipuram. Evening visit to Aurobindo asharm and stay at Pondicherry.
Day 08: Pondicherry – Chidambaram – Gangaikondacholapuram – Darasuram – Tanjore
Drive from Pondicherry to Tanjore enroute visit to the ancient temple in Chidambaram (one of the five elements temple – this temple represents the “SKY” also visit to the famous UNESCO monuments at Gangaikondacholapuram and Darasuram / stay at Tanjore.
Day 09: Tanjore sightseeing
Visit to Tanjore Big temple and Art gallery / afternoon relax at the hotel. Stay at Tanjore.
Day 10: Tanjore to Karaikudi (Chettinad region)
Drive to Chettinad (interesting visit of this beautiful village and learn about the local culture of this Chettinad place) on arrival check in at the hotel located in Chettinad region & also visit to the village temple located around this area. Stay at Karaikudi.
Day 11: Karaikudi to Madurai
Drive to Madurai and on arrival visit Meenaskhi temple and Tirumalai Nayak palace / stay at Madurai.
Day 12: Madurai to Periyar (Thekkady)
Proceed to Periyar (Thekkady) today you will be entering into Kerala (God’s own country) and on arrival check in at the hotel and visit to the spice garden as Periyar is famous for the spices & optional you can go for elephant ride if children like they can take the elephant package tour including you can wash the elephant – it will be an interesting activity. Every watch Kerala martial art “Kalaripayattu” Stay at Periyar.
Day 13: Periyar to Munnar
Drive from Periyar to Munnar (one of the famous hill station of Kerala & famous for the Tea growing area) on arrival check in at the hotel. Stay at Munnar.
Day 14: Munnar
visit to the tea factory and tea garden and visit to the other sightseeing places in Munnar including visit to Eravikulam national park. Stay at Munnar.
Day 15: Munnar to Kumarakom (Backwater place)
Drive from Munnar to Kumarakom (famous for the backwaters) on arrival check in at the resort / Optional evening go Ayurvedic massage. Stay at Kumarakom.
Day 16: Kumarakom to Alleppey (Houseboat stay)
Relax in the morning and around noon time – you will drive to Alleppey (01 hour drive) to check in at the Houseboat. This houseboat travel around Alleppey area and all your meals will be provided at the houseboat prepared by the crew members. Stay at Houseboat.
Day 17: Alleppey to Cochin
After breakfast you will disembark the houseboat and proceed to Cochin & evening enjoy the Kathakali dance show. Stay at Cochin.
Day 18: Departure from Cochin
Today you will be transferred to Cochin international airport to return to your home with the great memories from South India with Southern classic tours.
